Welcome to Hogs Gone Wild BBQ!!!
We are just starting out on our BBQ journey, and we would like to make you a part of our friends and family!!!
We here at HGWBBQ are proud to announce the name of our new team member is, Tim Wysocki. We are very pleased that Tim has decided to accept our invitation to join our team, and look forward to many years of working together.
Here's an update on how our team has been doing since hitting the BBQ competition trail. As of March 2011 we have competed in 4 competitions:
1) FBA Sebring, FL.
We competed in the Pro Division in this event, out of 30 teams we finished 19th. Not too bad for a first time out.
2) FBA Bartow, FL
We competed in the Backyard Division here, out of 16 teams we finished with 2nd in ribs and Reserve Grand Champion overall!!!
3) KCBS Lakeland, FL
We competed in the Backyard Division at this huge event, out of 76 teams we finished a strong 16th place overall.
4) FBA Haines City, FL FBA Event
Our second Backyard event for FBA, and we had the exact same results, 2nd in ribs, and Reserve Grand Champion overall. This event had 43 top notch teams in our division.
5) St Cloud, FL Mosquito County BBQ Event
Our second Pro level competition, we walked in each category with, 1st in chicken, 5th in ribs, 3rd in pork & 2nd in brisket. Earning us our first Reserve Grand Championship in the pro division.
6) Mulberry, FL FBA Event
We have to take some of the bad, with the good. Not a good showing for us here, kinda just want to forget about this one....
7) Zephyrhills, FL FBA Event
Went Pro again on this event, out of a strong field of 26 teams we finished 13th overall, with a 6th in ribs & 9th in brisket.
8) Plant City, FL KCBS Event
Did backyard here again, not bad....out of 31 teams 5th overall, with 3rd in pork.
9) Sebring, FL FBA Event
went Pro here again, and had good results, 5th in Chicken, 3rd in Ribs, 1st in Pork!!!! 8th overall.

www.huckshut.com. Huck Sr. and Huck Jr. are BBQ enthusiasts, who have a great site, full of BBQ information. Please check out some of my articles there.
I also have been asked to write an article for an upcoming online BBQ magazine. I am very excited about this one y'all, it is about taking a regular guy's prospective, me, on what it takes to go from BBQing in the backyard to going to the professional BBQ cook-offs. The magazine is called Barbeque Mag Online, and can be found at
www.bbqmagonline.com the first issue is in September, and will be FREE. Please check out this, sure to be informative BBQ magazine, I know you'll be glad you did!!!
We here at HGWBBQ are proud to promote our first book endorsement. Our friends at Hot Grill on Grill Action, have a GREAT BBQ book out on competitive BBQ. These guys have held nothing back in the great how to e-book. There are recipes in this book, but I find the most value is in the great instructions in this book, geared toward the competition cook, or just the person who wants to be the King BBQ'er on his/her block.
Hot Grill on Grill Action, are veterans on the competition trail, they also appeared on BBQ Pitmasters season 2. They were drawn to represent Nebraska in 2011 Jack Daniels Invitational.
